Grace M. Lawton joined Pylant Estate Law in March 2026. Grace has spent her career practicing with a boutique estate planning firm in North Mississippi. Now relocated to Huntsville, she is excited to continue building her practice with Pylant Estate Law, particularly in the areas of general estate planning, special needs planning, and nursing home Medicaid planning. Grace’s favorite part of this practice is getting to know families and getting creative to design highly tailored plans that fit their unique needs.
Grace graduated cum laude in 2020 from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she served as the President of the Public Interest Law Foundation. While in law school, Grace also worked as a limited-practice attorney in the McArthur Justice Clinic and Child Advocacy Clinic and provided research and writing assistance to the Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Legal Program and to a co-author of Children in the Legal System: Cases and Materials.
Prior to law school, Grace graduated magna cum laude in 2017 from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Social Work and minors in political science and journalism. Grace’s emphasis of study within the social work department was gerontology, which first planted the seed for her career in estate planning and elder law.
Grace is at home in South Huntsville with her husband, JC, two children, Judah and Clarice, and basset hound, Beignet. In the community, Grace serves as vp of Communications for the Huntsville Delta Gamma Alumnae Association and is a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
